Melanoma prevention and protection: The role of sunscreen products

Cutaneous melanoma is a dangerous form of skin cancer and occurs with increasing frequency in recent years. It develops in melanocytes, the cells that produce the skin pigment, melanin.

UV radiation, fair skin and a large number of moles, are factors that increase the likelihood of melanoma.

Early diagnosis of melanoma ensures a complete cure, but prevention is the best solution for our health.

Thus, avoiding exposure to solar radiation in the hours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., wearing a hat, wearing protective clothing and applying sunscreen products with an SPF >25 is the best protection we can give our skin.

MEY OF SWITZERLAND recommends MEY SUN EMULSION VERY HIGH PROTECTION SPF 50+.

MEY SUN EMULSION VERY HIGH PROTECTION SPF 50+ 100ML

MEY SUN EMULSION VERY HIGH PROTECTION SPF 50+ provides very high protection against UV solar radiation. The combination of broad-spectrum sun filters – UVA and UVB, helps to minimise the harmful effects of solar radiation, such as erythema and premature ageing. The composition is enhanced by a mixture of coastal plant extracts, which provide natural photo-protection:

The Moisturising Scentless Chamomile Extract (Tripleurospermum Maritimum Extract) provides immediate hydration, decreases expression lines, stimulates collagen and glycosaminoglycans synthesis and protects skin from UVA-induced damage. The Stem Cells from Sea Fennel (Crithmum Maritimum Callus Culture Filtrate) regulate pigment disorders by acting on the different steps of melanin synthesis, significantly lightening brown spots and protect against UVB-induced free radicals.
